Checking Procedures
Every job is stringently checked for accuracy. We do this in the following ways:
- Proofreading – every job is checked for typographical errors, and that the translation properly corresponds to the original document.
- Editing – occasionally, the text has to fit into a specific space (for example: in a Powerpoint presentation or advertisement). Some languages run to more text than others, and if this is the case we will (after consultation with the client) edit the translation to fit the space available.
- Back–translation – available on request. A language is translated into another, and then back again until both translators agree on the content. Used in circumstances when accuracy is vital.
Certification and Affidavits
We are happy to supply both these services on request. Certification carries no extra charge. Certification is often sufficient for documents to be used in legal matters.
It confirms our status as an established translation company with membership of the ATC (Association of Translation Companies).
Affidavits are sworn in front of a solicitor, and documents can also be notarised.
